Call for entries for the 2010 festival ended in June. We are currently in the final stages of film selection. Please check back soon for our announcement of selected films.

General Info

The San Diego Asian Film Festival is competitive, offering awards in the following categories:

  • Animated Short
  • Documentary Short
  • Narrative Short
  • Documentary Feature
  • Narrative Feature
  • Emerging Filmmaker ($1000 prize)
  • Grand Jury Prize ($2000 prize)

Submit Your Film

We will begin our 2011 call for entries in January. We strongly suggest that you submit to us through WithoutaBox.

Qualifiers

To qualify for our festival, your film must be:

  • Produced within two years of our festival date
  • Directed, produced, or principally acted by an Asian Pacific Islander
  • OR if the director is non-Asian, the film’s subject matter must be Asian
  • Available for exhibition in 35mm, NTSC Digitbeta, or NTSC BetaSP
  • If in a foreign language, must have English subtitles
